Removing mineral deposits on your clay pots

What are mineral deposits? It’s white powder on porous pots, like on my cebu blue pot, caused by mineral buildup from tap water or fertilizers. It’s not harmful, but if it’s an eyesore, you can get rid of it.

To avoid this in the future, you can use rainwater or distilled water, but I don’t mind a little buildup here and there from tap water.

Instructions

You’ll need: equal parts water, vinegar, rubbing alcohol, and a coarse sponge

① mix together equal parts water, vinegar, alcohol

② using the coarse side of a sponge, dip into the mixture and scrub away the mineral buildup, easy as pie!
