Repotting Houseplants

 

Growing season means more leaf growth but also more roots. This means larger and more leaves in a bigger pot 😍. If you prefer not to transfer it to a bigger pot, you can always divide the plant if the roots are getting crowded. The last thing you’ll want is a root bound plant.

Steps to Repot

  • Wait until the soil is dry. Use a trowel to separate the soil and planter

  • Fill the new planter with soil. Make sure the right soil is used (my favorite brands linked here)

 
  • Remove plant from the old planter. For larger plants, I find it easier to remove the plant if I turn it on its side.

  • Place into new planter

  • Pack sides and top with soil

  • Water with Superthrive solution + water
