I’ve learned that maintaining a beautiful and thriving garden requires consistent watering, particularly in extra sunny and windy areas like my rooftop. However, manually watering plants can be time-consuming or stressful especially when you're away from home or on vacation. Thankfully, with the help of irrigation lines and an automated watering system, I am able to set it and forget it, and my plants can be watered effortlessly.

Using Gardenas Micro Drip System and the Eve Aqua device, you too can set up an automated watering system for your plants so you can focus on other things like garden chores or traveling worry-free. This also helps give me peace of mind that my tomato plants won’t be dried out in the hot summer sun. Truthfully, I was uncertain where and how to begin. I was chartering unknown territory since this was my first irrigation set-up. After stalling and procrastinating, I finally unpacked the irrigation tubes and automatic timer. What I thought would be a long and daunting process ended up being a very easy install and took less than a few hours for my garden beds to be set up for success.

I first installed the Eve Aqua Device to the water spigot, held off on connecting my phone, and then set up the Gardena Micro Drip lines following the pictured instructions on the back of the box. Lastly, the final piece to the puzzle was connecting the Eve Aqua to my phone’s Bluetooth to set up the timer and schedule.

Irrigation + Device Set-Up:

Step 1 - Connect the Eve Aqua device
Connect the Eve Aqua device to your outdoor spigot or water source.

Step 2 - Plan your irrigation layout
Before installing, plan the layout of your irrigation system. Measure the distances between plants to determine the length of tubing required.

Step 3 - Assemble the necessary components
Gather all the components you'll need, including the connectors, drippers, tubing, and stakes.

Step 4 - Connect the main line to the Eve Aqua device
Attach the necessary connectors to the other end of the Eve Aqua device.

Step 5 - Lay out the tubing
Unroll the microtubing along the planned irrigation lines. Cut the tubing to the required lengths using a tube cutter or scissors. Insert connectors or drippers at appropriate intervals to deliver water to your plants.

Step 6 - Secure the tubing
Use stakes or clips to secure the tubing in place, preventing movement or damage.

Customizing and Setting Up Eve Aqua

Step 7 - Connect to the Eve app
Download the Eve app on your phone and follow the instructions to set up and pair the Eve Aqua with your device. This app allows you to control and schedule watering sessions remotely.

Step 8 - Customize your watering setting
Using the Eve app, you can create customized watering schedules based on your garden's needs. Set the desired watering duration and frequency for different areas of your garden.

Step 9 - Monitor and adjust
The Eve app provides real-time information about your watering sessions, including water consumption, temperature, and humidity levels. Monitor these metrics to ensure optimal plant health and make adjustments to your watering schedules as necessary.
